About Us

Cool Christian Tees came into fruition from a combination of events. A lifetime of big dreaming, a series of relapses, failures and from gentle nudging of the Holy Spirit. Since the time Jesus entered my life, supernaturally in 2014, till today God has shown me great love and grace. God has shown me his love will never change or be based on what I do, but me as a person. God made me who I am, and He loves me beyond understanding.

After a hard relapse in October 2020, I laid on my couch detoxing, recovering and too sick to do anything. I reached over to my coffee table for a book and picked up Lecrae’s, “Unashamed”. In two days I read a story not dissimilar to mine. Through this I was finally able to shed a lot of the shame and pain I had been carrying despite having been saved for a few years. I realized that I didn’t have to look like other Christians. I didn’t have to fit into this box that others feel they must fit into to be accepted into our cultural Christian family. This realization stirred up my heart and stoked a long-time desire to reach the lost of my generation. Imperfect me has been loved endlessly by a perfect God. There is a huge gap in culture between Christians and the secular world in which they live. 

Cool Christian tees are designed to break down those cultural walls. Throughout the Bible, especially Jesus, many cultural examples are used to explain the Kingdom of God so that people would understand. The grass withers and the flowers fade but the word of our God will stand forever (Isaiah 40:8). God’s word is timeless and applies to all ages and cultures. Many people today not being reached because God’s word is not being conveyed in ways they can understand. For those who have ears let them hear (Matthew 11:15; Mark 4:23). We need to be speaking our cultures’ language. Many people exist in subcultures and communities that are their own separate worlds. We, as Christians, partake in culture as we are to be in this world and not of it. HOWEVER, it does not mean we can’t share our love for Christ in these subcultures and communities. On the contrary, we need to know the culture around us. You very well may be the only Christian they may know. We want to break into these worlds and show them the great love of God.

What we are working on here is much bigger than t-shirts. We can’t wait to throw mountains in the sea because that is the end goal (Matthew 17:20). Our designs are inspired by culture, art, subculture, alternative art, sub-genre and communities which we are passionate about.

It’s about one attitude and one mission. An Attitude of love (Matthew 19:19) and a mission to bring many others to saving knowledge of Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:19; Mark 16:15).

Cool Christian Tees is two people, the sweet and lovely Elisabeth and me, Rohan,  two teenager artists, and of course Charlie Magoo -our acting president, secretary of affairs, team mascot, lead of research and development, Quidditch team captain, and our head of security (complete with the ability to perform ocular pat-downs.)

(What is our purpose)

In a society where God’s word is becoming less visible, we want to put it back out there in front of as many eyes as possible. You can take away scripture from schools and courthouses, but we can put it back. On t-shirts, on people, who are to carry Gods message to a world that doesn't realize why they are hurting. We want to spread the Gospel to non-believers in a way that they may come to understand the Lord. We want to lift up other believers with our shirts. T-shirt evangelism is totally an underutilized ministry. All you have to do is show up and talk about your shirt if asked. Fear not, we’re here to help with that! We know we all are members of one body with different skills, evangelism might sound scary. One thing anyone can do is talk about the things we love! So, start off talking about common interests and how faith in Christ has impacted your life rather than how it can impact theirs.
